Join the Ride Well Founding Group

Understand your horse better. Build a clearer plan. Train with purpose.

Beginning September 1, Shelley will guide a small group of equestrians through the Ride Well Method using the new Ride Well Training Tracker.

You will assess your starting point, choose a meaningful priority, create an eight-week training plan, track your horse’s response, and make better decisions about what comes next.

The Details:

  • Begins September 1, 2026

  • Virtual program

  • Limited founding enrollment

  • Ride Well Training Tracker included

The Ride Well Training Tracker is not available for individual purchase during this launch. It is included exclusively with Founding Group enrollment.

You care deeply about your horse—but knowing what to do next is not always clear.

Maybe your horse feels different, but you cannot quite explain why.

Progress has stalled. A familiar exercise has stopped working. Behavior has changed. You are returning from time off or injury. Or you are simply training consistently but are not sure whether your plan is producing the results you want.

Without a clear system, it is easy to react to one ride at a time.

Ride Well helps you step back, recognize patterns, and build a plan around the horse and rider in front of you.

Ride Well Gives You a Process

  • 01 Assess

    Establish your horse-and-rider starting point.

  • 02 Plan

Choose the priority that matters most and build a realistic training block.

  • 03 Train

Use exercises intentionally to develop the strength, skill, confidence, or coordination required.

  • 04 Track

Record meaningful changes in workload, movement, behavior, performance, and recovery.

  • 05 Review

Evaluate the response and decide whether to progress, continue, adapt, pause, or seek additional support.

  • 06 Repeat

Work this process in 8-week blocks.

Why Eight-Week Training Blocks?

Week 1: Assess and choose focus

Ride Well uses eight-week training blocks to help you consider the complete horse-and-rider picture without trying to change everything at once.

Weeks 2-7: Train, track, adapt

Each block gives you time to look at how the horse, rider, tack, feet, workload, recovery, management, environment, and training plan interact—then choose one clear priority, train consistently, track the response, and review what changed.

Week 8: Review and plan the next block

Eight weeks is not a deadline for perfection. It is a practical cycle for noticing patterns, building progress, and deciding what comes next.

The Ride Well Training Tracker turns the method into action.

The tracker gives you one place to organize your observations, plan your training, record meaningful changes, and evaluate whether your program is working.

It is more than a journal of what you did. It helps you think through:

  • What am I trying to improve?

  • What is my horse showing me now?

  • Is the horse prepared for the demands of the goal?

  • How is the horse responding to the plan?

  • What should I change next?

Founding members will be the first group guided through the complete tracker process.
